We are so grateful every day that we came to see her and brought her home. My sister and I had lost our father a month before we adopted Holly and she has brought so much love to the house. We expected a very shaky start not knowing much about her background and could tell she hadn’t had the best of times before she got to Dogs Aid. But we agreed we would give her the home she so deserved and that’s what we’ve done every day since then.
Holly has come on so much even in the last month, every day is a surprise. She is so playful and affectionate with both of us and our other family members and she has amassed a lot of friends and admirers in a short space of time. I still can’t get over how good she is with kids; she is so gentle and protective. My niece and 2 nephews think she is the greatest thing in the whole world. And she has become so popular and a bit of a character among our close friends.
She can be a little stubborn sometimes when it comes to leaving the house for a walk but once she’s out she loves the exercise, and when she’s not out she’s tearing around the back garden with whatever ball or chew toy she can find. She’s also the biggest attention seeker I have ever seen. And every night is spent snuggled up beside my sister or me wanting a scratch.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in Dogs Aid for their hard work and dedication to all the animals they take in. You have helped us find a companion that we could not do without.
