Piper is a 9 month old lurcher. He was covered in mange when we fostered him. We gave him baths everyday with medicated shampoo (so he is well used to baths). He has really settled in himself and has found a personality. He loves people, really friendly and has been exposed to staying in different environments overnight and daycare with other dogs. We trained him good recall from an early age, when we go on walks he sprints around off the lead coming back when called. When walking on the lead he still occasionally pulls so will need some treats and training to walk beside you. He mainly loves to lie on his bed or curl up on the couch for the most part of the day. He’s a lazy lurcher who loves naps but will wake and want to play by himself in the garden sprinting around with toys. He loves attention and doesn’t like to be left alone too long during the day. We crated trained him from a puppy and now he sleeps in a pen that he is used to. He has a good nature, good with people and other dogs. He doesn’t jump up and knows how to sit, lie down and give the paw especially where treats are involved. He is really lovable and after his rough start in life I hope he finds someone who will give him the love he needs.
