About: Buddy is our distinguished poodle‑mix gentleman, thought to be around 14 years old. Over the years he’s become a familiar character in the sanctuary, especially to the volunteers he chooses as his favourites.

These days, Buddy prefers the quieter side of life. You’ll often find him snoozing in a cosy bed tucked away in his favourite dark corner. He is often so well camouflaged that he sometimes surprises volunteers by appearing out of the shadows! He’s also a little camera‑shy; ambling off in the other direction when the paparazzi arrive.

Buddy likes to spend his time on his own terms, and appreciates it when people give him the space he needs to feel comfortable. For the select few he warms up to, he’s still delighted to see them coming in. Quiet, quirky, and full of gentle personality, Buddy is a cherished member of the sanctuary family.
